Spring 2012

  • Peter attends the premiere for the independent romantic comedy SHE WANTS ME starring Josh Gad (21, Love & Other Drugs) Hilary Duff (Lizzie McGuire, Cheaper by the Dozen) Wayne Knight (Seinfeld’s “Newman”) and Charlie Sheen as himself! Peter acted as First Assistant Director on the film.

    The movie will be available via DVD and VOD soon. You can check out the trailer here.
  • Also keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming release of the indie romantic comedy OF LOVE & FANTASY written and directed by Kenneth Waddell. Peter produced the retrospective “making of” documentary for this DVD release that features early film work by Shea Whigham and Amy Redford. The film also stars Wade Howard, Linda Taylor and Broadway star Betty Buckley. Look for the DVD release soon from World Wide Motion Picture Corporation at www.WWMPC.com

Winter 2012

Happy 2012 from PPB.COM!

  • Peter recently acted as First Assistant Director on a commercial shoot for the "Witness Life From KABC" branding campaign for director Mel Rodriguez. The spot will run during the Oscars in the Los Angeles area!
  • Peter remains super busy in post on THE VORTEX as we head into the new year! The picture is locked (more or less) with one day of pickups scheduled for January 3rd… and then it is all CG, color correct, scoring and fun, fun, fun from there! STAY TUNED!
  • The new SUPERNOVA FILMS INC. website is live. That’s right, you can check it out here and get your first glimpse of THE VORTEX!
  • Did you miss our online screening and Q&A of the short film SPOTLIGHT starring Joe Lando & Eve Mauro? Well, for the month of January you can check it out here or at www.joelando.org exclusively! You do need the password - “screening” - to enjoy the show!

Fall 2011

  • That's a wrap on THE VORTEX which you may have known as its previous title BIG BAD BUGS. The film is the first from Peter Paul Basler and Miguel Muller's production company Supernova Films Inc. The film was directed by Peter and stars Jack Plotnick, Sarah Lieving and Ted Jonas. (Look for pictures, trailer links as well as a link to the new SUPERNOVA FILMS site coming soon.)
  • Check out the new web site and trailer for THE END OF THE INNOCENTS that Peter produced for writer – director Deborah Chesher this past June by clicking here.
  • Our Vimeo page is constantly being updated! Be sure to check out the trailer for the upcoming THE MAN IN THE HAT and the full short HEY VENDOR starring Troy Garity. Both projects are by Sundance award winner Matthew Harrison!
  • BIG BAD BUGS! shoots in October with Peter in the director chair! It promises to be good, campy sci-fi, fun! The film marks the first feature from Peter and Miguel Muller’s new company SUPERNOVA FILMS INC.

  • In the interim, the feature MOTHER’S LITTLE HELPERS, now retitled COUGARS INC. is out everywhere! Rent yours at a Blockbuster or Redbox near you! Peter served as Production Coordinator on this film.

  • It is hard to believe that 10 years ago Peter was in pre-production on his first feature JUST ADD PEPPER!?! In fact principal photography started August 20, 2001. And just what impact has our little film made in the last decade? Read this.
